Digging Dirt from the Earth. Durmus Yildiz and the Australian Sun
Durmus Yildiz lives in Western Australia, the “Golden State”, where he could be making make big money digging dirt out of the Earth. But the Turkish-born, German-raised engineer has chosen a different path. He’s started up a solar energy company in Perth, firmly believing that society’s true wealth comes from above.
Sticking to his ideals is no easy task in one of the world’s most isolated cities, in an environment saturated with media superlatives and where Australia’s famed easy-going attitude is often hard to find.
